I have a hero in my community that is very strong at heart by nature and is called Thabo he is the one that started an internet Cafe that is meant to assist students and other people who wants to do something online and he has a garden that supports old people who are really struggling to cope financial and he provides vegetables for free Fair Cape Dairies #FairCape30 #LocalHeroes #BetterEveryDay #CommunityChampions
I nominate Refilwe Mo BinaTau, a remarkable individual who deserves recognition! She has started a pads drive that provides essential support to young girls in our community. It has made a huge difference in our community, most young girls find themselves vulnerable when it is that time of the month. #FairCapeLocalHero #HeartOfTheCommunity #DoGoodFeelGood #LocalHeroChallenge
I nominate a woman called Noluvuyo and i regard her as a hero and she has a husband who is disabled in the house and she decided to go around door-to-door looking for other disabled people and try to get them wheelchairs or apply from various sponsors to assist them so that they can be able to gain some movements instead of staying indoors forever Fair Cape Dairies #FairCape30 #LocalHeroes #BetterEveryDay #CommunityChampions

I nominate Mabunda Collen Relieve and his NGO, Ntshuxeko Disability Care Centre i where they turn isolation into intergenerational hope. After seeing children faint from hunger while grandparents struggled alone, Mabunda Collen Relieve converted a mud walled shed into a lifeline. Now, 120+ children get daily meals and homework help beside elders who share indigenous farming wisdom in their Roots & Shoots garden. Grandparents like Gogo Sipho 78 once lonely teach seed saving, while kids gain confidence. He even sews school uniforms by lantern light and coordinates donkey cart medicine deliveries for bedridden seniors. They deserve to win R15 000 because they would fund, Winter dignity packs (Twinsaver tissues, soap, blankets) for 100 vulnerable elders, Seeds/tools for 50 family food gardens grown by kids & grandparents, Mobile health kits for trained granny caregivers.
In a region with no clinics or paved roads, Thrive Rural doesn’t just feed bodies it mends community spirit, proving love bridges generations.

I nominate Tebogo Jojo Matsepa a young man in my community who has become a true Local Hero. He selflessly cares for his 90-year-old bedridden Grandmother. He gave up his job, his freedom, and his youth to care for the one person who once nurtured him. He dedicated himself fully to her wellbeing, ensuring she receives love, dignity and his 24/7 attention.
He does this alone, with only limited resources and while waiting for placement in a government old age home.
I truly admire him because he chose love. Quietly, without praise, he carries a responsibility most would run from. In my eyes, he is a silent warrior, A true Local Hero. Please help me give him the recognition he’s never asked for but so deeply deserves.

I would like to nominate Amelia Williams she does so much in her community and I love her kind heart and generosity. She collects clothes and shoes to hand out to the less fortunate. She also does a soup kitchen in different sections of the community and tries to feed as much people as she can. For the school holidays she had a program to teach how to make new things from reusable items. And during the warmer days she forms part of a group that teaches people in the area to grow their own vegetables and herbs. She loves to give back and loves helping people, she is always active in the community and I aspire to be like her one day.
To celebrate Fair Cape Dairies' 30th birthday, we’re proud to launch our 30 in 30 Campaign – a heartfelt initiative where we’ll be donating 30 food parcels to 30 charities in 30 days. This campaign
