MELT LOUBSER
Group Managing Director
Melt qualified as a Civil Engineer in 1986. He oversaw several major civil engineering projects in SA until 1995, when he became a founding member of the Fair Cape Group. He was Chief Executive Officer since, and currently serves as the Group Managing Director.
Melt was instrumental in transforming the company from a small business into a well-structured corporate entity with skilled leadership. He has been a driving force in establishing Fair Cape as a leading supplier of dairy and related products in South Africa. The company employs nearly two thousand people, produces dairy products from a significant portion of the unprocessed milk produced in the Western Cape, and has received numerous accolades for environmental stewardship and commitment to animal welfare.
Melt played a leading role in the formation of the South African organized dairy industry. Since 2007, he has served as Chairman of the South African Milk Processors Organisation (SAMPRO), as well as serving on the Board of Directors of Milk SA since its inception in 2003. As President of the South African National Committee of the IDF, Melt remains actively involved in the International Dairy Federation.
Melt relishes quality time with friends and family, and he is a keen fisherman and hunter.
EDUARD LOUBSER
Chief Supply Chain Officer
Eduard is a founding member of the Fair Cape Group and was instrumental in securing the finance for the first Fair Cape factory.
His position in the group encompasses overall responsibility for the group’s supply chain and logistics functions which includes the integration of materials management, liaison between suppliers of goods and services, finished product cold storage, warehousing, distribution, transport and fleet control. Eduard is on the Audit and Financial Corporate Governance committee of the Fair Cape Group.

JOHANNES LOUBSER
Director of Farming Operations (Dairy)
Johannes joined the Fair Cape Group as a director in 1997. Johannes manages all the milk parlour activities, the well-being of the cows, environmental matters, animal welfare and is a subject-matter expert on cow welfare.
Johannes has more than 20 years combined agriculture and business experience. He is on the Risk Management Corporate Governance committee of the Fair Cape Group.
VILJEE LOUBSER
Director of Farming Operations (Vineyard)
Viljee joined the Fair Cape Group of Companies as a director in 1995. Viljee’s portfolio, apart from his responsibilities as a director, includes the overall management of various agricultural projects, inter alia, wheat and wine-grape production.
Viljee has more than 30 years combined agriculture and business experience. He is on the Audit and Financial Corporate Governance Committee of the Fair Cape Group.

Chief Executive Officer – Fair Cape Holdings
On 1 July 2024, Johan stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer at Fair Cape Holdings, marking a significant moment in the company’s history. From 1997, Johan served as Chief Operations Officer, during which time he was a cornerstone of the company’s growth and success. As COO – and the sole non-Loubser shareholder of Fair Cape Dairies – he was instrumental in developing world-class manufacturing systems, procedures, and new products, driving the company’s innovation, efficiency gains, and sustainability initiatives, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Johan’s expertise and leadership make him a crucial asset to both Fair Cape Holdings and the broader dairy industry
BRANDON MILLER
Director of Fruitique
Brandon joined the Fair Cape Group as General Manager of Fruitique in 2000 and is a director of Fruitique (Pty) Ltd. He is responsible for Fruitique’s operational functions and has extensive experience in manufacturing operations.
Brandon led the practical implementation towards World-Class Best Practices. Brandon has 19 years combined experience in general management, operations management and technical management. He was awarded Senior Manager Employee of the year on two separate occasions. He is the Risk Coordinator for the Fair Cape Group.

Non-executive Director
Robert joined the Fair Cape Group as a non-executive director in April 2013. He is a practising commercial attorney with extensive legal experience in his field, dispute resolution, facilitating strategic discussions and drafting of contracts.
WOUTER ANDRÉ HANEKOM

André has held various senior executive roles in the FMCG industry, including overseeing a successful listing on the JSE and has previously played a pivotal role in developing and incorporating a variety of new food and beverage categories.
His executive accomplishments, technical achievements and the ability to consistently deliver results, qualify him to assume the leadership role of the Fair Cape Group’s Board, be part of a great team wholly committed to accelerating growth and creating shareholder value.
André is on the Fair Cape’s Finance Committee, Audit and Risk Committee and the Human Resources Committee.
JAN SCANNELL
Chairman of the Board of Directors
Jan joined the Fair Cape Group as a non-executive director in March 2014. Jan has a legal and conveyancing background, has been involved in retail activities in the Western Cape spirit and wine industry as well as marketing and distribution activities outside South Africa’s borders.
MEGAN COMBRINK
Sales Director
Megan has been with the company since 2000 and has been instrumental in increasing the revenue and growth of the company significantly. She was appointed to the Board of Directors on 1st of August 2020 as Sales Director.
Megan holds a B-Home-Economics Degree as well as an Honours degree in Resource Management from Stellenbosch University. In addition, she has honed her senior managerial and negotiation skills through developmental programmes at the University of Stellenbosch and various other institutions.
Megan is on Fair Cape’s Risk and Product Steering Committee.
CARLA HARPER
Executive Director (ICT)
Carla joined the Fair Cape group in 2006 as Organisational Development Manager. Her passion for systems coupled with an understanding and knowledge of business processes lead to her appointment in 2012 as head of the Information Technology department.
Her primary role is to ensure that Information Technology functions as a business enabler by driving and implementing the IT strategy. In 2017, after successfully initiating and leading Information Technology into its all-important function within the group, she was appointed to the Board of Directors as Executive Director (ICT).
Carla serves on several committees, including the Human Resource and Risk Management committees.
GHAWWA ADAMS
Raw Milk and Quality Director
Ghawwa joined the Fair Cape group in 2002 as Quality Control Manager and progressed to her current position of Raw Milk and Quality Director in charge of Production and Quality processes for the group.
Her previous responsibilities have included, inter alia, quality assurance, laboratory management, production planning and optimisation, operations management, plant and equipment maintenance, raw milk planning and purchasing, developing quality systems.
Ghawwa completed numerous courses and workshops, such as internal auditing for food safety, laboratory management, advanced dairy analytical procedures, human resources, operations management. In 2013 she completed a Leadership and Management Development programme.
